    • BIOGRAPHICAL SUMMARY: After emigrating in 1890, he eventually settled in North Vancouver with his mother and father. G.G. Nye set up shop as the city's first photographer. He married Bertha M. Janes in Sep 1908 and retired from photography in 1910 or 1911 to become a carpenter. He married his second wife in 1928.
