    The stereo title is "Hermit Range from Half-way rocks, Selkirk Mts., Canada". The photograph depicts two men standing and a woman sitting on a rock while looking at the Hermit Range. The photograph was copyrighted by R.Y. Young.

    • STATUS: Stereo publisher.
    • BIOGRAPHICAL SUMMARY: Published stereograph cards photographed by R.Y. Young, who owned the company, and other photographers. One example, copyright 1901, is a staged scene with gamblers titled " Getting the drop on him - Bar-room scene in the Klondike". The business was sold to Underwood and Underwood which then sold all of its own inventory to the Keystone View Company.
      There is no relationship, other than the name, between the Langenheim brothers' American Stereoscopic Company (1855-ca. 1874) and Young's own company.
      Stereographs by this firm are found in a number of academic, archival and library collections around the world.
