    • BIOGRAPHICAL SUMMARY: Like his coastal contemporary Leonard Frank, he specialized in logging photographs. In addition to serving in World War One with the Canadian Expeditionary Force, enlisting in 1914, was wounded and discharged in 1919, Montgomery also enlisted in World War Two, signing up for the latter at age 61 in 1940.
      Before his World War One years he spent many years as an itinerant photographer in Ontario, Manitoba, Montana, Alberta and Fernie, as well as a stint working for R.H. Trueman and Company.
