    • BIOGRAPHICAL SUMMARY: According to the 1911 Canada census he immigrated in 1898. He operated as a photographer in Lacombe, AB, for a few years in the mid-1900s before moving to Kamloops where worked as a photographer through his Scales Studio from around 1911 to at least 1952. The 1911 census notes that his wife Ethel Mary Scales was also a photographer.
