  STATUS: Institutional (amateur) (visit). BIOGRAPHICAL SUMMARY: As the Surveyor-General of Canada (1885-1924) with the Dominion Land Surveys, Deville took a camera on his 1886 inspection tour and made a number of extremely good views between Port Arthur and Victoria.
