    • STATUS: Commercial.
    • BIOGRAPHICAL SUMMARY: When he married in 1893 he was employed as a Canadian Pacific Railway freight clerk. The New Westminster Columbian (Dec 1903) described him, along with a portrait:

      A.A. Paull, photographer, though a native of Jersey, left the Old Country when two years old, and until 1892 lived in London, Ont. [Ontario], where he learned the trade of cabinet maker. His next move was to British Columbia, and he has resided there since then, doing a good business as a photographer.

      The 1921 Canada census mistakenly states that he had immigrated in 1917.

      Between 1921-1923 he operated as the Albert Studio. According to his death registration record he last worked as a photographer in 1927.
    • IDENTIFYING MARKS: Photo mount at bottom may bear imprint "Little Nugget Paull The Potographer Nanaimo, B.C." Print surface may be titled, dated and credited "Copyright H.W. Roozeboom." H.W. Roozeboom was a post-1950 Vancouver commercial photographer and cinematographer who bought up various negative collections of earlier photographers, particularly those who photographed the logging industry.
