- BIOGRAPHICAL SUMMARY: He worked for S.J. Thompson and later went into teaching. He retired as a principal from a New Westminster school in 1937 or 1938.
He married Ida Letta Wells on 1 Jan 1900 in New Westminster. She passed away on 9 Jan 1956. In the 1901 Canadian census he is listed as Francis "Caufield". The 1911 Canadian census lists two sons: Orra W. (b. 1902) and Edwin W.
