    • BIOGRAPHICAL SUMMARY: He worked for the San Francisco Examiner-Journal and was in Dawson by early November 1897. His colleague E. Hazard Wells describes him as an "artist". Kreling returned to Dyea. Two photographs credited to Kreling were published in the San Francisco The Examiner on 23 Jan 1898 (p. 17 and 18).
