    • STATUS: Studio.
    • BIOGRAPHICAL SUMMARY: Established by L.V. Winter and E.P. Pond in 1893, Winter and Pond were the premier photographers of Juneau and are especially known for their outstanding portraiture of the Tlingit people. A Mar 1895 newspaper ad indicated they had Yukon images. Winter undertook the arduous journey to the Yukon over the winter of 1897-1898.
