    Herbert Welford put his studio up for sale in various newspapers, including ones in the U.S. Robert Weir purchased the studio and continued to operate it as the Welford Studio until he renamed it the Weir Studio, first listed in the 1927 business directory.

    • STATUS: Commercial.
    • BIOGRAPHICAL SUMMARY: He took over the Welford Studio in 1921 and worked there until 1926. He then operated as the Weir Studio (1927-1929) before moving to Trail around 1993 and working for the Hughes Studio.
      According to his death registration record he had spent 44 years as a photographer and had retired from the profession in May 1954.
