    • BIOGRAPHICAL SUMMARY: He enlisted in the Canadian Expeditionary Force (World War One) on 20 Sep 1915, giving his occupation as photographer and next-of-kin as his wife Elizabeth Sarah Chapman. Having been wounded in action, he was eventually demobilized in Vancouver on 24 Mar 1919. According to his death registration record, which information was provided by his daughter, he had worked for 30 years as a photographer and retired from the profession in 1924. The 1924 business directory shows him working as a department manager for the Spencer's department store, however, he was listed again in the 1928 directory as a photographer.
