L.E. Robertson view of Bennett, BC, ca. spring 1899.
Visible (left to right) are the Dawson Hotel (under construction or renovation), an open-faced building marked "Warehouse", an arch with the words "Bennett Lake and Klondyke Navigation Co. Ltd." between the warehouse and the building to its right, likely the office of the company, the Yukon Hotel in a tent, a building with a sign for the "Canadian Development Co. Ltd.", its roof unfinished, and two sternwheelers under construction. Several tents also dot the landscape. The lake is still iced over. The year that forms part of the caption at the bottom is not fully legible, but is likely 1899.
