    • STATUS: Studio.
    • BIOGRAPHICAL SUMMARY: Originally established by John Howard Havelock King, V.V. Vinson partnered with King in 1904 or 1905 and then ran the studio from 1905 to 1933. A branch studio operated for about one year (1912) at 619 Granville St. Beginning in 1913 this location was the home to the Progress Studio, which V.V. Vinson also owned.

      Vinson's widow Blanche Vinson operated the King Studio between 1935 and 1944.

      Between 1945 and 1948 the studio was operated by D.A.M. Aird and Mrs. F. Candlish. D.A.M. Aird was the sole operator beginning in 1949. The studio was still in operation under Aird's direction as late as 1955.
