    • BIOGRAPHICAL SUMMARY: He worked as a photographer in Kincolith on the Nass River, BC. A group portrait at UBC Library contains an annotation on the verso describing him as "the late J.E. Edwards".
    • IDENTIFYING MARKS: Print surface may be titled and print verso may be stamped "J E Edwards Photographer Kincolith Nass River B.C." In the example at UBC Library (Uno Langmann UL_1074_0009), the verso identification bears the handwritten ink addition of "Indian" before the word photographer.
