  • Notes
    • STATUS: Commercial.
    • BIOGRAPHICAL SUMMARY: He was a partner in Baxter and Bradford. While a 1919 newspaper ad for their partnership implies they were both World War One veterans, there is no personnel file for him with the Canadian Expeditionary Force, which suggests the reference is only to Baxter's brief military service. Having been born in the USA, in the 1921 census, at age 24, he is living with his parents and had immigrated with his mother in 1906. Bradford left the partnership in Sep or Oct 1921 to work as a travelling salesman for a "prominent" wholesale confectionery company. By 1923 he had found his way to Adelaide, Australia, where he was "instantly" killed aboard the Canadian Government Merchant Marine (CGMM) vessel Canadian Britisher.
