    • BIOGRAPHICAL SUMMARY: Prior to moving to BC where he spent the bulk of his photographic career there in Vernon, he had worked as a photographer in the Ontario communities of Bracebridge (1897), Orillia (as Whiten and Naylor, 1874-1875; as a solo photographer, 1876-1895; and as Whiten and Stewart, 1895-1897) and Peterborough (1897-1901).
      The 1911 Canada census places him in Vernon as a photographer. He was last listed as a Vernon photographer in the 1921 business directory.
