    • STATUS: Commercial.
    • BIOGRAPHICAL SUMMARY: As a Kelowna accountant in 1907 he applied to purchase a piece of Crown land in the Osoyoos Land District, District of Yale. An advertising article about his presence at the Home Products Fair in Victoria in 1917 states he had worked for the M and M Studio before assuming ownership and operating it under his own name in the spring of that year.
      He operated The Photorium and Meugens Studio and was last listed as a photographer in the 1924 business directory. In the 1923 business directory he was also listed as the proprietor of the Victoria Auto Livery, a car rental service.
      In the 1940s he helped establish the Victoria Natural History Society and returned to photography as the proprietor of the Chevron Studio. [27, 28]
