    • STATUS: Commercial.
    • BIOGRAPHICAL SUMMARY: He was working in New Westminster, BC, as a photographer in 1911 and subsequently moved to Victoria, BC, where he operated for a few years as Colpitts' Studio and Crown Studio. He also worked in Ladysmith as a photographer in the early 1920s.
      He and members of the Reay family, including his employee and future wife, E.B. Reay, were living together, along with members of the Colpitts family, on Cook St. between 1918 and 1921.
      According to the 1930 US census, he immigrated to the US in 1922; in 1930 he was working as a photographer in California. A member of the household was E.B. Reay, listed as a cousin, and also a photographer.
      In Sep 1934 he and a former Colpitts' Studio employee, E.B. Reay, applied for a marriage license in King County, WA.
