    • BIOGRAPHICAL SUMMARY: Married around 1894 to Jane Broughton, the couple had six children, at least four of whom followed their father to Canada. Their eldest son, Harold George Charlton, who lived with his father and worked as a clerk for the Royal Bank, enlisted in the Canadian Expeditionary Force in Mar 1915. He served in France and was demobilized in Mar 1919.
      Listed as a photographer in the 1921 Canada census, Harry was living in Burnaby with two sons and two daughters.
      He was a co-proprietor of the Western Studio and partnered with Miss Henrietta Rathbun (later Mrs. Henrietta Charlton) as Charlton and Rathbun.
