    H.J. Hindmarsh's notice, British Columbia Gazette, 10 Jun 1909, p. 2507.
Advertises his intent to purchase land in the Fort George Land District.

  • Notes
    • STATUS: Commercial.
    • BIOGRAPHICAL SUMMARY: He was in partnership as Hindmarsh and Rowlstone (1908?-1909?), then operated on his own.
The 1911 Canada census indicates he immigrated in 1910, however, this is an error or misinformation on Hindmarsh's part.
In 1909 both he and S.H. Rowlstone applied to purchase land in the Fort George Land District. Assuming it is the same piece of property, Hindmarsh received a Crown Grant to lot number 1946 in Group 1 of the Cariboo Land District on 6 Oct 1911 (CG 2299/0291). This piece of land was southeast of Prince George, BC and a body of water named Six Mile Creek is shown on the survey plan in the lower southeast corner of the lot. [11, 12, 13]
