    • STATUS: Photo-engraver; commercial.
    • BIOGRAPHICAL SUMMARY: Assuming it is the same person, he was enumerated in the 1881 England and Wales census as the printer and proprietor of the Tenby Telephone newspaper. He was age 29 and married to Sarah Jane Henton. They had no children. At the time of his 1904 marriage in Vancouver he indicated he was a widower and a photo-engraver.

      He operated as a sole or co-proprietor the Vancouver Photo Engraving Company (1901-1909), returned as a solo photographer (1913-1915) and in 1917 was listed in the Vancouver directory as the manager of the Clifton Photos.

      The 1921 Canada census shows him institutionalized and indicates he had immigrated in 1900. [36]
