    • BIOGRAPHICAL SUMMARY: According to the 1921 Canada census he immigrated in 1913 and in 1921 was single and living in an apartment. In early 1916 he took over sole operation of the Art Depot, doing business as photographic suppliers and art dealers, following the death of his partner Ernest Weeks. He subsequently operated as Camera and Arts, first in 1916 with J.C. Cockburn, then as sole proprietor between 1917-1927. Beginning with the 1928 business directory he was listed as retired. [19]
