    This photograph was featured in his ad in Henderson's City of Vancouver Directory 1908, p. 139. The Wikimedia page mistitled it "Evenings on Burrard Inlet" There are quotation marks on the mount around the word evening to indicate this image was manipulated in the darkroom to produce an evening or nighttime effect. Part of the Canadian Copyright Collection at the British Library.

    • BIOGRAPHICAL SUMMARY: He immigrated to Winnipeg, MB, via Quebec City, QC, aboard the Sicilian in Jul 1904. The Canada passenger list gave his occupation as "clerk."
      He first worked as a clerk for the Bright Stationery Company, whose manager was John Love, then R.M. Love became the manager in 1907. The next year he advertised as an independent photographer, specializing in landscapes and architecture. He was last listed as a photographer in 1910 and subsequently became a real estate agent and financial broker.
      By the time he remarried in 1913 he was a widower and gave his occupation as "broker."
      Enlisting in the Canadian Expeditionary Force in Vancouver in 1916, he was killed in action in France the following year. His widow later moved to California.
