    • STATUS: Commercial.
    • BIOGRAPHICAL SUMMARY: Prior to immigrating to Canada in 1910, Knight worked as a photographer in Cranleigh, Eng., UK. Before settling in Victoria in 1917, he worked in real estate in North Vancouver, Vancouver and Duncan. He began his career as a BC photographer with the (Wilfred H.) Gibson Studio and opened his own studio on Fort St. in 1918. He remained at that address until his retirement in 1965. The City of Victoria Archives acquired his photographs in 1972.

      In addition to his portrait work, Knight also did exterior or landscape photography. He was also a talented contributor to the Pictorial photography movement.
