    • STATUS: Commercial.
    • BIOGRAPHICAL SUMMARY: In 1881, at age five, he was living with his family in Stretford, Lancashire, England, where his father Arthur was a photographer. Following in his father's footsteps, by 1901 he was working as a "photo operator" in Bridgewater, Somerset, England. His father immigrated to Toronto, ON, in Mar 1907 and members of his family were enumerated in the 1911 Canada census living in Toronto. Arthur Norman Reston had also immigrated in 1907 and the 1911 Canada census shows him in Medicine Hat, AB, working as a photographer.
Arthur Norman Reston worked as a photographer in Princeton, BC, and gave that as his occupation when he enlisted in the Canadian Expeditionary Force in Jan 1916. He served in France in 1917 and was discharged near the end of the war to enlist in the Royal Air Force. He returned to Princeton and practiced as a photographer from about 1920 to 1926. In Aug 1930 he travelled to Seattle, WA, likely to immigrate to the USA. He later moved to Philadelphia, PA, where he also worked as a photographer. [15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20]
