    • BIOGRAPHICAL SUMMARY: One of four sons of Judge J.G. McClinton, Port Townsend, Washington, he worked for the customs service there where he took up photography. Between 1898-1899 he was purser on SS Rosalie (owned by the Alaska Steamship Co., 1897-1900) and may have taken views at Juneau, Dyea and Skagway.
