    • STATUS: Amateur.
    • BIOGRAPHICAL SUMMARY: He was employed as a provincial Dept. of Agriculture inspector and was also an apiarist. In the 1890s he published several books on photography for the amateur market, including two illustrating his visit to the Chicago World's Fair in 1893. He founded the magazine Photo-Beacon. His series of interior views of salmon canneries taken in 1913 are an important documentary record of working conditions.
