- STATUS: Amateur (visit).
- BIOGRAPHICAL SUMMARY: A surveyor with the United States Coast and Geodetic Survey, he visited the Chilkat River in southeastern Alaska during the summer 1894. According to Sinclair and Engeman's article, he took more than 40 glass plate negatives of Tlingit Indians and scenery along the river. The next year he presented his work through lantern slides to National Geographic Society members.
