    • SUMMARY: Tappan Adney purchased Brannon's roll film camera and unused film on Adney's way back to Dyea from Sheep Camp. Adney reported that Brannon was one of the "lucky men who arrived on the Portland." Adney was unclear as to whether Brannon had struck gold, but the young Brannon parted with his camera and film because it was "too much trouble."
