    • STATUS: Printer; Commercial (assistant); Photographic supplies.
    • BIOGRAPHICAL SUMMARY: According to his obituary he arrived in Canada in either 1889 or 1897, settling first on the Prairies, then participating in the Klondike gold rush. He worked for S.J. Thompson and then moved to Victoria where he operated C.H. Smith and Company, an art and photo supply store. He and J. Savannah were listed together in the 1910 directory. Smith retired about 1945.
