    • STATUS: Amateur.
    • BIOGRAPHICAL SUMMARY: Although this Stark would have been eleven at the time, a W.M. Stark is supposed to have photographed the arch erected by the Chinese to honour the visit of Li Hung Chang in Sep 1896. William McIntosh Stark, otherwise known as Billy, was a pioneer aviator and obtained Canada's first pilot's license from the Aero Club of America in 1912. His father, James Stark, ran a dry goods store called Glasgow House in Vancouver in the 1890s.
