    • STATUS: Government; Cinematographer (government).
    • BIOGRAPHICAL SUMMARY: Evacuated in Sep 1940 from London, Eng., along with his brothers, Maurice and Michael, they travelled by the ship SS Nerissa and train to Victoria. Bernie was adopted by Major and Mrs. C. Wilson of Gordon Head, Saanich. He attended Brentwood College for a few years. He joined the BC Government Travel Bureau Photograph Department in Apr 1947 and remained with it until his retirement. Several of his films, the bulk of which are preserved by the BC Archives (Royal BC Museum) won awards.
