    • BIOGRAPHICAL SUMMARY: He arrived via the Chilkoot Pass and Lake Bennett with his wife in 1898. A Morte H. Craig is listed as an engineer in the 1903 Polk directory. According to the University of Washington Libraries description of the H.J. Goetzman Collection (collection no. 305), "At the end of the 1904 season, his [Goetzman's] photographic supply house and studio along with his original negatives were sold to J. Morte H. Craig which were then lost as a result of an accident in April of 1907."
