    • STATUS: Commercial.
    • BIOGRAPHICAL SUMMARY: He arrived in Victoria from England in 1890 and worked as a travelling salesman. He appears to have combined his photography with his travelling. The Provincial Archives of British Columbia purchased Chapman's collection from him in 1936. Chapman's output ranged over a wide number of photographic subjects and he marketed many of his views as postcards.
