- BIOGRAPHICAL SUMMARY: As did his business partner W.H. Case, Draper probably came to Alaska from Oregon in or around 1898. The Dalles, OR, newspaper reported on his business enterprises there in the mid to late 1880s, including the Vienna Restaurant and a fruit farm. The Case and Draper partnership lasted until 1907 and both men continued their photo businesses independently in Alaska, Draper remaining in Skagway as Draper and Company and Case moving to Juneau.
