    • STATUS: Commercial.
    • BIOGRAPHICAL SUMMARY: Born Azalia Maude Gotts on a farm to James Gotts and Julia Anna Jackson, according to Margaret Waddington's article, at the present time no information is known of her life in England, how she came to Canada, where she learned photography or when and where she married Herbert Richard Snelling. She first appeared as a postcard photographer in Qualicum Beach and by 1947 had moved to Vancouver where she worked as a waitress at a bowling alley in Burnaby in the mid-1950s. After her husband died in 1956 she moved into her son Maurice's home in 1958 and died there 20 years later.
