    • BIOGRAPHICAL SUMMARY: One of the partners in Thompson and Bovill, his brother William was also a photographer. The two had a brief association in 1886 and again in 1887-early 1888 as the Bovill Brothers. Wheatley also worked as an architect (Bovill and Ross) and a real estate agent (1890 directory, p. 267). The 1891 Canada census listed him as a newspaper reporter with a son, [William] Lloyd (age 2), and a daughter, Dorothea [Anne] (age 1). He was married in Aug 1888 and may have returned to England in 1896. The 1901 England, Wales and Scotland census stated he was living with his brother A.J. Bovill and two other family members. While his brother managed a farm, Wheatley was "living on own means" with these family members in the town of Prestwood, Buckinghamshire.
