  • Notes
    • STATUS: Commercial.
    • BIOGRAPHICAL SUMMARY: He was a partner with brother Edgar in Fleming Brothers studio. After their partnership dissolved in the 20th century, Harold, like Edgar, operated independently. He was married in 1894 to Mary Edith Mesher (b. Woolwich, Eng.).
The Colonist took note in Aug 1893 when he photographed yachting and canoeing activity, and again in Oct 1893 when some of those photographs were published in a Canadian magazine devoted to that recreation. The Colonist also commissioned him in 1903 to photograph Victoria residences for a special edition featuring those homes; many of the photographs are credited "Fleming Photo". In 1908 he accompanied provincial government and Grand Trunk Pacific Railway officials on a visit to the townsite of Prince Rupert where he photographed the group he accompanied. [39]
