    • STATUS: Commercial.
    • BIOGRAPHICAL SUMMARY: A Burrows and McConnell operated in Nanaimo in 1905, but it is not known if this is the same McConnell. W.F. McConnell managed the Canadian Photo Company along with William J. Moore between 1916 and 1920, then became the sole proprietor until 1933 after which neither he nor the company were no longer listed in the business directory. He may have left Vancouver for educational purposes as he turns up again by 1940 with a new occupation as a physiotherapist which he practiced until 1950 according to his death registration record, which also claimed he had been doing such work all his life.
