    • STATUS: Photo supplies.
    • BIOGRAPHICAL SUMMARY: According to the 1921 Canada census, of Scottish origin, he immigrated from the UK in 1902. At the time of the census while living in Vancouver, he resided as a lodger with a husband, wife and their brother-in-law.

      Before becoming associated with a series of photo supply companies, he was an accountant. In 1913-1914 he was the secretary of the British Canadian Photo Supply, Limited. In 1915 he was a partner with E.P. Chandler in the photo supply firm of Chandler and Stewart. He subsequently owned the Stewart Photo Supply Company. He moved to Victoria and was a partner in the Maynard and Stewart Photo Supply Company in 1924. He subsequently returned to the accounting business.
