    • STATUS: Commercial.
    • BIOGRAPHICAL SUMMARY: He enlisted in the Canadian Expeditionary Force in Aug 1918. At the time he was living and working in Minneapolis, MN, as a photographer for C.J. Hibbard. While he was declared medically fit for service, he was ultimately discharged as unfit for service because he was too short and suffered from varicose veins. He briefly served with the Canadian Engineers with a rank of Sapper. He returned to Minneapolis and registered for the USA military draft in Sep 1918.
      According to the Jan 1920 USA census he had immigrated in 1909 and was living and working in Minneapolis in Jan 1920 as a photographer. A year after his immigration he was working as a photographer in Chicago, IL.
      He worked in Victoria as a photographer in the mid-1920s.
