    • BIOGRAPHICAL SUMMARY: He was living with his parents in South Vancouver during the 1921 Canada census and working as a farm labourer. Starting out as a photographer in Westview (near Powell River, BC), he relocated to Victoria around 1940. During his time in Powell River he also worked as a "grinder" for the Powell River Company, a newsprint mill. He remained in business in Victoria after 1950 and operated under the name Leonard Holmes Studio in the 1960s.
