    • BIOGRAPHICAL SUMMARY: He immigrated in 1902 and was naturalized in 1908. He was married to Annie Jarvinen who predeceased him in 1935. The 1911 Canada census shows him working as a photographer in Ladysmith. Another Andrew Jarvinen, a year older than the photographer, also lived in the Nanaimo area, but he was a farmer in the 1911 Canada census; the 1921 census shows him as an oyster-culturist and also married to an Annie.
