    • STATUS: Amateur?
    • BIOGRAPHICAL SUMMARY: A photograph in Scherer was credited to this photographer. Given the existence of a N.B. Miller, an amateur photographer who served as an assistant photographer for the U.S. Department of the Treasury Fur Seals Investigations in the Pribilof Islands in 1893 and 1895, it is likely they are one and the same person and that the Alert Bay photograph was misdated by Scherer.
