    • STATUS: Commercial.
    • BIOGRAPHICAL SUMMARY: He emigrated to Canada via Quebec in 1909 with his wife Salome Grahame. According to the 1911 Canada census they were both naturalized Canadians that year. He was the manager of the Canadian Picture Co. between 1910 and possibly 1913. No business address was given in the latter year's directory. On 4 Feb 1916 he enlisted with the Canadian Expeditionary Force, giving his occupation as a photographer. While in France he was wounded in the left leg on 14 Nov 1916 and discharged on 5 Apr 1917 to England where he spent the rest of his life. His CEF personnel record also indicates he spent 15 months in South Africa during the war there between the British and the Boers.
