    • BIOGRAPHICAL SUMMARY: A partner in the short-lived firm Elliott and Baglow, he went on to spend the rest of his career in the bookbinding trade.

The North Vancouver Museum and Archives offers this biographical summary through its online catalogue:

Albert Elliott (1871-1962) was born in Barton St. Michael, a suburb of Gloucester, England, the second of ten children. Scarlet Fever as a child caused him to become completely deaf. In 1887 he became apprenticed to a bookbinder, at which he worked until 1956, although he also became interested in photography through his brother Harry. He met Kate ("Vevey") in 1898, also deaf, and they married in 1901. In 1904 they met Fred Baglow, also deaf. The three of them emigrated to California in 1906, and from there to North Vancouver. They launched Elliott & Baglow Photographers in August or September of 1906. Elliott sold his half in 1907 when he got a job at Thomson Stationers, Baglow operating the studio until late 1908 or early 1909. Elliott's wife died in childbirth in 1912; he remarried in 1916 [i.e., 1915] and died in 1962.
